have a listen,
This is pretty close to what it sounds like in the room... same clip 4 times, one with both the sansamp and rockmaster down the middle, then the sansamp, then the rockmaster. Then hard panned left and right.

The sansamp is in through the torpedo with the laney black country customs 4x12. This the bassy side of the tone.

The rockmaster is through the palmer, set to the middle position on both toggles, which should be neutral. And the rockmaster is pushing the high side of the tone.

I have not tried this in a mix yet, but i dont think it will have any problems.

ohh interesting note, the dynamics on the palmer are pretty compressed looking at the wave file, there are not near the peaks on it that there are on the torpedo.

torpedo on top, palmer on bottom.

Sounds good, especially the hard panned clip. Those two compliment each other in the mix nicely.

Im guessing the peaks n stuff are reflecting the differences between the torpedo's reactive load vs the palmer's resistive load?

No the Palmer is reactive too. I think the Palmer was just recorded louder so the wav is clipped even if you don't hear distortion in the audio. It's also dominant in the mix.

stuck this thing in a mix... have a little dio to listen to.

https://app.box.com/s/7vkmtwrurwkpyvoyst0408sja4xdszx6

and to note, even with the output turned down, the wave form still looks compressed on the palmer. It doenst sounds compressed but acording to the 1's and 0's its compressed.

Very interesting. I need to track my Palmer and look at the wave forms.
