All banks suck, I don’t even have a personal account anymore, and if I could figure a way to run a business without one, I’d get rid of the business account too. Because of my business and the fact I don’t have a personal account, sometimes people pay me directly, so I need to go to the issuing bank to cash the check. And I’m not saying this small aspect is indicative of the other policies of the bank, but I do fee it’s fairly revealing how the bank is with regards to customer service. And I’ve literally cashed 100s of checks in banks I don’t have an account at. BY FAR, the one who pretty much just asks for a couple ID and then asks me how I’d like my money, Chase is the easiest. BY a TON! They just don’t care. Lol. If I’m a scammer, they’ll prolly just give the people their money back without much issue. Other banks, I need to give thumb prints, they need to call people, these people need to give their secret “code”, which no one ever remembers.... Etc etc. some may think this is just them being diligent with money security, but it’s more like they are trying anything they can to NOT cash a check.

So anyway, based on your experience, I’m gonna take a Guess that you have Bank of America as they have proven to me, thru having accounts there as well, they are the WORST bank in America. The absolute worst and even some google searches will show BOA is a fucking shit show of a bank who easily steal more money from their customers than any other thru myriad of extra fees and convenience charges...

But I would counter and say, I Said ALL banks actually suck, but Chase might suck the least. Only cause they are so big that they can easily pay off scams and charge backs without their bottom line even seeing a blip

Hah I agree they all suck. My main account is Wells Fargo. But in this case, it’s my credit union, which is GTE financial. I’ve had a checking, savings, CC, and 2 different car loans though them over the last 13 years, and they clearly don’t give a fuck, so fuck em.

I'm in the same boat as you with a guitar ordered last August. Promised to be delivered in October and since the fall, I've gotten barely any updates and they take three-four weeks to answer a message. Mork Verden said that they would be sending pictures. I haven't seen anything yet. Even if it's due to the pandemic, the lack of customer support is horrible.

Yeah, its fucking stupid. I contacted a couple of Canadian fraud bureaus, and there's not much they can do other than document it.

The part that really pisses me off is my bank basically told me to go fuck myself. So yeah. Not very happy with that at all lol.

I know this is old but I don't think it's your bank. It is the fair credit act or whatever it's called. 60 days across the board no matter who you bank with, it's the Feds not your bank.

Sucks you got scammed. This reminds me. Exactly of my Earcandy experience, sweet cab already built, just needs speakers and jacks installed. Never got it.

Reminds me why I dont like taking chances with unknown builders which really sucks because some of them are putting out incredible work that you can't get anywhere else.

I had a lot of issues with Earcandy, too, but ultimately got a cab. It was not that great of a cab.

So each bank is different. This bank is 60 days. However, if I paid with my Wells Fargo CC, I would have had 18 months to file the claim. I even spoke with someone at Mastercard that said each bank can set their charge back policy to whatever they want.
