This is a copy/paste from my facebook since I don't feel like typing all this shit out again.
I probably should've posted about this months ago, and probably also should've filed a charge back on my CC with my credit union, but I didn't, so now I will warn you all.
In October, I ordered a guitar from Mørk Verden Guitars. The pictures showed the guitar built, but needing parts and electronics. I was told the guitar would be shipped at the end of October. I gave them about a week grace period before reaching out to them. Being in the middle of a pandemic, I was told that they were having shipping issues, and that Purolator (Canadian courier company that integrates with FedEx in the US) was having a hard time getting someone out to pick up the guitar. A month of this back and forth goes on, and I finally get a tracking number. Still back and forth with the company trying to figure out whats going on, and they finally tell me that Purolator has a warehouse with about 20 of their guitars, and they planned to drive down there and pick them up and ship directly with FedEx.
At this point, its too late for me to file with my CC, so now I just have to wait and hope I get a guitar...
Eventually, they make some posts (which you can see on their page) talking about getting death threats and calling out customers, and basically saying people are wrong for feeling ripped off by them. Again, using the pandemic as an excuse not to get guitars out to people. I don't know how true this is...there is no way to know...but after 2 months at that point, you might think that shipping issues should have been resolved.
My last response from them was on Dec 18 when they told me they would find out the shipping status and get back to me within 24 hrs, which they did not do.
FFWD to today, and still no response. I have sent messages and now emails, and will likely be calling them at some point today. But it seems at this point that they have stolen money from me for a guitar. I wanted to give them a chance, but they have just taken advantage of my patience at this point, and keep using COVID as an excuse.
Do what you will with this information. Maybe they can figure this out. Maybe it actually is shipping issues. Maybe they are scammers, but I really don't think that is the case as I have seen some of the guitars around. But what they definitely are is a business that has some problems getting guitars out to people, whether they actually have shipping issues or some other problem...the point is that they are taking people's money and not delivering guitars.
I have been trying to get ahold of someone at my bank that can help, but they keep transferring me back to the mainline. So fucking frustrating.
I have also filed complaints with IC3 and the Canadian something or other. I doubt anything will come of it at this point.
EDIT: Attached pics of what I ordered.

Sorry to hear that. As soon as I searched the name a 7string.org thread popped up about his prior company name Steiner Krause and the same type of shit way before Covid was a thing. Too bad as there are some cool looking models there.

Nice looking guitar. I will never understand the logic of running a business this way. The goal is to expand your business every year. Word of mouth, internet reviews and repeat customers are invaluable.

You should still be able to file a claim with your credit card company, even at this point. Call the credit card company and tell them that you've been trying to work it out with the seller but they are not helping. You'll get a refund, I'm sure of it.

It was advertised as a replica, and it all seemed legit talking to the guy through email and over the phone.
I have been trying to get ahold of someone that can help me through my CC for an hr, and they keep transferring me around.

It shows a lot of true colours for a small builder like that when they continue to take orders (and money) knowing that they can't deliver product. I was impressed when KNE guitars (just a parts builder) said that they were halting new orders because they had too much going on and couldn't get things out in what they felt was a timely manner.
Hearing stories like this really keep me away from any small builders. So many scammers in the guitar community.

I had a similar issue with Guitarmory pickups...they eventually did get a new guy working there that started fixing things, and I got a refund, but it took 7 months of no pickups and then a month of dealing with them at the end before they actually gave me the refund.

this will be pinned to the top of all forums until they offer a proper resolution. This is absurd.

Its been too long for me to file a chargeback through the website. I have been trying to get ahold of someone to help me for a while this morning at my credit union, but no luck. I should've filed the damn chargeback the second week of October.

Are they local to you? Print out all the proof and walk into the branch and talk to an account manager.

They're semi-local. They used to have branches here, but now the closest one is about 2.5 hrs away. I know they were doing appt only for covid, so I will need to figure that out, I guess. Not sure when I will get a chance to drive to Tampa, though. Maybe I can call the branch and get better help.

Sucks that this company appears to be screwing people over - looks like they do really nice work. I hope you (and everyone else waiting) end up getting your guitar. Since COVID I have had some unbelievable shipping issues. Some parts I ordered took over six months to get to me. I had already gotten a refund from the supplier and ordered the parts from someone else, and then when I'd totally forgotten about it, they just showed up. The supplier just told me to keep 'em... Steve

Looks like less than 6 months, should still be a charge back. Good luck Raf. Mojo sent.

Worst case in the drive Raf you’re doing that drive to collect $1200 or whatever you paid.
Look at it this way if someone offered to give that much for that drive I’m sure you’d do it.

Stopped by the bank today after work. Luckily there’s a location about 5 miles from work (which is an hr away from home). The manager helped me file a dispute but she said because it’s beyond 60 days there’s no guarantees. Said someone will email me tomorrow or Monday to get all of my documentation.
