I kind of want the Tweed pedal. I have zero need for it and it would sit with a bunch of unused pedals on my shelf 99.999% of the time if I were to get it.

Well, they are amps with cab emulation built in. You could run it in to a clean pedal platform or run it right in to your board.

Get irritated that the aren't more full featured Plug them into the fx return of a good combo/half stack Build a direct pedal board around them Record direct

Pretty much this. The Anderton's guys were using them as a DI input and listening through monitors, and were envisioning them being played direct through FOH. Towards the end they talked about using a 4-cable setup. FWIW the only pedal they ran into any of them was a screamer into the 65 blackface one, and it sounded good. They seem to be more of a preamp than a full-blown amp, so I guess you could also do something like run them into a PA-type amp then into a cab.
