did they change their bodies?
I thought I read something about that recently.
Maybe it's just the pic - but that either looks a little broad on the bottom bout, or narrow in the waist.
How does it match up to a Gibson?

Everything looks great except for the headstock. I decided to get it with a black plastic headstock overlay and while everything was packed perfectly and the box arrived intact, the plastic overlay is very scratched up. A few of the scratches I can feel if I run my fingernail across them. What's weird is that the plastic control cavity cover they sent me has an adhesive covering to avoid scratching but the headstock overlay did not? I'm hoping this can all be wet sanded out before clear coating. Kind of a bummer:

It isn't. I spoke with the owner at Precision Guitars and it was an oversight. They forgot to sand the plastic overlay before they shipped it. They don't put any adhesive covering on the headstocks because they are bubble-wrapped in shipping. Easily remedied, it appears...

Seems like that company has a lot of oversights from my experience and what I’ve seen.

You had a poor experience, for sure. In my case, this is really minor and the rest of the kit is stellar.

Can't wait to see the final product. NOBODY's sunburst finishes are the best I've seen.

I’d say I had a mediocre experience. It was minor “oversights” that added up as I went through the process.

I’ll be curious to see if you start having similar issues as you put it together.

Even fully finished, the guitar was far from what I would call stellar.

I honestly think this guy throws these things together and sends them out without caring, especially since he probably knows most people won’t send it back for these minor problems. Oversight my ass on this one. No fucking way he didn’t see that scratch as he was packing it lol.

Well... I hope it'll be better than the Chibson that got me gassing for a single pickup LP that I almost bought...

Had some silver metallic waterslide decals made for the headstock...

The metallic decals have overlap lines , which are part of the printing process and that is what you are seeing on the cherry bomb. They will fade away once the decal is applied and clear coated.

Here's how they will be laid out - yes they need to be centered better on the headstock. And... yes, the Cherry Bomb image will fit even with the tuner bushings in. ;)
